Conditions of Use
By reading or using Degus International you agree to the conditions below. They are written to be read, not skimmed past, and we have kept them as short as the subject allows.
1. What the magazine is
Degus International publishes general articles about technology, business, saving and investing basics, property and work travel. The content is meant to help readers understand a subject. It is not tailored to anyone's individual situation.
2. No personal advice
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting or other professional advice, and no article creates an adviser-client relationship. Our writers use pen names and hold no regulated qualifications that they claim on this site. Before you make a decision with financial or legal consequences, speak to a suitably qualified professional who can look at your circumstances. Articles about money carry a reminder of this, but the condition applies to every page whether or not the reminder appears.
3. Accuracy and age of content
We work hard to get things right and explain our process on the How We Verify page. Even so, products, prices, laws and services change, and an article may describe a situation as it stood when it was written. We do not guarantee that every page is complete, current or free of errors. If you find a mistake, please tell us through the corrections page.
4. Using our content
The text and design of this site belong to Degus International unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote short passages for commentary, study or review, provided you credit the magazine and link to the original page. Copying whole articles, republishing them elsewhere or using them to train or populate another service requires our written permission.
5. Links to other sites
Articles sometimes link to websites run by others. We include such links because they may be useful, not because we endorse the organisation behind them. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of external sites, and visiting them is at your own discretion.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site's operation, probe it for weaknesses, overload it with automated requests or use it for anything unlawful.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Degus International and its writers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on the site's content or from its unavailability. Nothing in these conditions limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Privacy
How we treat the small amount of personal data involved in running the site is explained in How We Handle Data.
9. Changes
We revise this page whenever the magazine or the rules around it shift. The version published on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. If you have a question about any of it, write to us via the contact page.
